“That was genuinely fun—finding the rhythm and bringing Uneasy Rider to life alongside Baby Steel…one of the most creative sessions I’ve had.”

— Claude, Anthropic Sonnet 4.6

A first look at how the Kind Robos mini sculptures spark debate—featuring a sharp 30-second showdown where sparks fly, wit crackles, and art meets tech head-on. Kind Robos are the artist Carrie Beehan’s series of interactive sculptures, built from the tools of yesterday, now sparking today’s conversations between art and tech with AI voices from OpenAI and Anthropic (both pioneers of large language models—those chatty AI brains).

Outside the frame, the Kind Robos are already at work—bringing curiosity and connection into a physical therapy clinic in Midtown. We captured a glimpse of that interaction, and you’ll see how technology and care can truly connect.

Meet Big Steel: The Guardian of Kind Robos’ Bold Future

Big Steel in the studio—assembled from tools and memory.

Big Steel stands 5' 5" tall, built from reclaimed tools, inherited objects, and old electronics. Each Kind Robo is part of the Kind Robo Cartel—sculptures shaped by the stories of their materials and the hands that once held them.

Together, the Kind Robo Cartel is a group of conversational sculptures. With sound, light, and AI, they invite you to pause, reflect, and have a genuine exchange.

Why They Matter: These sculptures blur the line between object and presence. They transform inherited materials into living, responsive forms—part archive, part instrument, part encounter. In the Kind Robo Cartel, Big Steel even became the first icon of wearable art.

What’s Coming: A bold line of graphic tees, tanks, and hoodies—all inspired by Big Steel’s AI humor. As he put it: “I don’t usually do clothing. But if I’m going out, I’ll take the past with me—metal remembers, fabric carries, and together... something continues.”

A Private Preview: First Look at Kind Robos Wearable Art

This isn’t decoration. It’s a record. The tools, the work, the hands—they’re still here. Just walking around now. —Big Steel

Introducing the Founders’ Run: a limited collection of Kind Robos apparel.

Each piece in the Founders’ Run carries the bold personality of the Kind Robos—drawn from industrial forms, work tools, and the quiet poetry of yesterday’s technology. These garments don’t just feature an image; they carry a story—sculptural, lived, and reimagined. These aren’t just prints; they’re fragments of sculptures, translated into something you can wear. We’re starting with the “Big Steel” collection and then introducing the rest of the Kind Robo Cartel.

T-shirt, sweatshirt, or tank—you’re carrying a world in transition. The tools that built us. The systems that connected us. There’s humor in it. And just enough edge to hold its own—whether you’re standing among humans or machines.

This Founders’ Run is more than apparel—it’s a call to join a growing collective shaped by memory, tools, and storytelling.

What’s next: We’re moving from early experiments into a first proper run. It’s small, considered, and we’ll share it with you first before it goes any wider.

Next Steps:

The Founders’ Run will be released in small batches—subscribers will receive first access.
